Is AIOStreams down?
Every AIOStreams instance runs separately, so one being down tells you nothing about the others. When results stop appearing, the first job is to find out whether it's the instance or your setup. That takes about a minute.
How do you check if AIOStreams is down?
- Look at the status page. ElfHosted's AIOStreams instances report on status.elfhosted.com.
- Open the manifest in a browser. For our public instance that's aiostreams.elfhosted.com/stremio/manifest.json. A page of text means the instance is up. A timeout or an error page means it's down, and nothing you change in Stremio will help until it's back.
- Try a second title. If one film is empty and others aren't, the instance is fine: nobody has a copy your filters allow.
If the instance is up, the problem is somewhere between it and your service. The sections below cover the common ones.
Is there an AIOStreams status page?
For ElfHosted's instances, status.elfhosted.com is the one to bookmark. For every public instance at once, the independent IbbyLabs Uptime Tracker checks them all on the same schedule. Our AIOStreams instances comparison ranks them by that tracker's 30-day uptime.
Why is AIOStreams up but showing no streams?
In rough order of how often we see each one:
- Your service account. A debrid subscription that has run out, or a Usenet account that has hit its connection limit, returns nothing. Check the account on the provider's own site, not through the addon.
- Your filters. A resolution under Required Resolutions hides everything else, and language and size filters cut hard when combined. Open Filters and look for anything required that you meant to prefer.
- A slow source addon. AIOStreams waits for every addon to answer or time out. If one's struggling, results arrive late or thin. Lower its Timeout under Addons, or remove it.
- An old install. If you made a change that needed a reinstall and skipped it, your app's still using the old configuration. Install again from Save & Install. It doesn't reset anything.
What do AIOStreams' error messages mean?
ElfHosted's public instances return a short message in the stream list instead of failing silently. The common ones:
- Public rate-limit exceeded 🐢: your connection has used its search allowance on the public instance, 100 up front, refilling at one a minute. Every device on your home connection draws from the same allowance. Wait a few minutes. Rate limits explains what counts.
- Opened on a different connection or Wrong IP: the stream link was opened from a different connection from the one that asked for it, often a VPN switching mid-session or a link passed to another device.
- Private instances only: that feature, such as Torrentio, is available on private instances only.
- Debrid service is down: your provider isn't answering, and nothing at our end can fix it.
The full list, with fixes, is in our public addon messages explained.
Why won't the configure page show my configuration?
Until you sign in, the configure page shows a fresh, empty configuration. Yours hasn't been lost. The page doesn't know which one's yours until you sign in. Select Sign In and enter your UUID and Password. Arriving from Stremio's Configure button fills in the UUID for you.
If the password's gone, there's no reset. Your installed addon keeps working, but to change anything you'll need to build a new configuration, importing a backup if you exported one, and install its new link. The setup guide has the details.
Why is AIOStreams not working in Nuvio?
Nuvio installs AIOStreams from the same link as Stremio, so every check above applies. If it works in Stremio and not in Nuvio, remove AIOStreams in Nuvio and add the install link again from Save & Install. AIOStreams in Nuvio has the setup steps.
What if it keeps happening?
Occasional outages happen to anything shared and free. Installing a second AIOStreams instance as a fallback keeps you watching while one's down, and our instances comparison shows which are most reliable.
If it's the shared limits rather than downtime, the change to make is to stop sharing. A private ElfHosted AIOStreams instance is yours alone, with ten times the public allowance and support from humans in Discord.

Frequently asked questions
Is AIOStreams down?
Check the instance you use. ElfHosted's are on status.elfhosted.com. For any instance, open its manifest in a browser: text means it's up, a timeout or error means it's down.
Is there an AIOStreams status page?
Yes. ElfHosted's AIOStreams instances report on status.elfhosted.com, and the independent IbbyLabs tracker checks every public instance. Our instances comparison ranks them by its uptime.
Why is AIOStreams not showing any streams?
If the instance is up, it's usually an expired or limited service account, filters stricter than you remember, a slow source addon, or your connection reaching the public rate limit. Try a second title first.
Why is AIOStreams not working in Nuvio?
The same checks apply, since Nuvio uses the same install link. If Stremio works and Nuvio doesn't, remove AIOStreams in Nuvio and add the install link again.
What does "Public rate-limit exceeded" mean?
Your internet connection has used its search allowance on our free public instance: 100 up front, refilling at one a minute, shared by every device on that connection. A few minutes clears it. A private instance has ten times the allowance.
Why won't the configure page load my configuration?
It shows an empty configuration until you sign in with your UUID and password. Yours is still there. If the password's lost there's no reset, so you'll need a new configuration to make changes.
Does a VPN fix AIOStreams?
Not if the instance is down. It can cause problems instead: a stream link opened from a different connection can be refused, and some debrid services limit how many addresses one account streams from.
